Not being able to play with other musicians during Covid I went back to my childhood days of imagining I was in a band and just jamming. The sounds in my head always butt up against my limited knowledge of music theory combined with the limits of my dexterity. Jazz improvisation with a live band typically stretches players beyond what they have previously been able to achieve on their own (with the right cats of course). This is my attempt at doing it alone, hence the title: Fingerpainting: Jazz of the Unlearned.
